Vaughn's Top 5: Why You Should Join Eating by Design
1. Simply, WE ALL NEED IT!
Everyone has some level of congestion and toxicity in their body and if your goal is longevity of life and freedom from pain, sickness and disease, then we must cleanse. Especially after the holiday season, most of us can feel the effects of too much of the wrong foods. Getting back to the basics of a Biblical diet is an easy first step towards better health. In today's world, health does not come naturally, it comes with intentionality!
2. It's about lifestyle.
"They" say it takes 21 days to make a new habit and break old habits or patterns. Our goal for this health challenge is to get you one step closer to creating a long-term lifestyle change towards better health. Fad diets and magic pills have not helped our culture restore health. Join us for 29 days and beyond. You may be shocked at how the cravings disappear as your body and mind desires the right foods more and more. I have the privilege of seeing these changes take place in my office all the time.
3. We want to honor God with our bodies.
I know there are thousands of people out there who want to honor God with their bodies, and we all know we could be doing a better job. It makes sense to steward the holy temple of the living God that resides in us. Paul said it perfectly when he said "...glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
4. It will enhance your connection to God!
I hear this all the time. People start to cleanse and heal their body and they tell me over and over how improved their prayer life is, or their connection with God or that they are hearing more clearly from the Holy Spirit than ever before. This is exciting! It means God cares about this issue. I can say from personal experience my most powerful encounters with God have been while juice fasting or doing other types of cleanses. I'll just throw this out for you to chew on; Does it make sense that a perfect, pure, clean and holy God can move closer and reside deeper in a vessel that is choosing purity in every aspect of their lives, including nutrition and the cleansing of our bodies?
5. We need community. We need each other!
It's difficult to make healthy choices in our world today. A loving support network is crucial for success these days. The enemy loves to separate us and make us feel isolated. In that, sometimes we turn to food for comfort or to deal with stress which can lead to shame, guilt and condemnation. We say no more! Let's encourage each other, hold each other accountable, have grace for when we stumble, but not settle for mediocre. We CAN prosper and be in good health as said in 3 John 1:2, but we need each other to get there.
