Adaptogen Chai Tea Latte

Chai-Tea.jpg

I love the taste of chai, but most are filled with caffeine, dairy, and loads of sugar, so that's why I created my own. This drink gives you all the healing benefits of chai spices, turmeric, and our adaptogen herb blend, plus it tastes amazing. It's delicious warm, or cold over ice.

TIME: 10 MIN | YEILD: 12 Ounces

INGREDIENTS:

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Bring the cup of water to a rolling boil and add the tablespoon of herbal chai tea.

  2. Stir in the tea, remove from the burner and set aside to steep for 5-10 minutes.

  3. In a separate saucepan combine the nut milk with remaining ingredients, except for the sweetener, over medium to low heat and whisk to combine.

  4. Let it warm for about 5 minutes to your desired temperature but careful not boil homemade milks. When using homemade almond milk be careful not to boil or it will separate into an undesired consistency as homemade milk does not contain emulsifiers.

  5. Meanwhile, pour the chai tea through a fine mesh strainer and add it to the saucepan.

  6. Add any sweetener to taste and serve it warm.

  7. You may also let it cool and serve over ice in the summer months.
