How to Turn Average Pasta Sauce into a Culinary Delight
TIME: | YIELD: 1 quart, 8 servings
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 teaspoon olive or coconut oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil (2 teaspoons dried)
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano (1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives (1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 teaspoon fresh stevia (pinch of powdered stevia)
Instructions:
- Start by warming oil in a pan over medium heat, then add onion and minced garlic.
- Sautee the onions and garlic for a couple minutes and then add the dried or fresh chopped herbs to release the aromas and flavors.
- After another minute or so, pour in the jar of sauce and let it simmer while preparing the rest of the meal.
- Serve warm with Homemade Meatballs. This is guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser!
