Thanksgiving. A Time for the “Giving of Thanks”
As the cool weather sets in and the leaves begin to change, the nostalgia of fall fills the air and invades our homes. Here in America, it wouldn’t be fall without the much anticipated holiday of Thanksgiving. For some, holidays hold sweet memories, while for others they can bring the remembrance of the difficulty of loss of family, finances, or even dreams. In 2020, our nation went under an intense shift, and the changes we saw moved our team to reflect and prepare for the holiday season in a new way.
We decided that the best thing we could do to recalibrate out of a tough year was to put first things first. For us at Spirit of Health, the first things are God, family, friends, and living a life of purity and thankfulness. There is no doubt that these things have been and will continue to be under attack in America.
In an effort to be a catalyst for change, Spirit of Health decided to make some adjustments from our normal rhythms of the holiday season by closing over the Thanksgiving Holiday, including the infamous Black Friday weekend.
Our heart is that this could be the beginning of something new even in our country. Instead of running about on Thanksgiving, hitting the sales and employees working long hours to manage them, what if we turned toward those that are closest to us and prioritized connections as families and friends?
What does this mean for you as our customers of Spirit of Health? We now have a new tradition here at Spirit of Health called our “Thanksgiving Sale.” As a company, this puts our focus more on the importance of the holiday and our families. This sale replaces the status quo of “Black Friday,” which is a term created for companies to get “in the black” or have the focus more on finances.
