It's spring which means it's time to open up the windows and clean your home. Unfortunately, when most people clean they create a greater toxic environment in their home instead of cleaning it up. We have been deceived into thinking that Clorox, Lysol, and Pledge are the answers to our dirty house, but in fact, these products can make you sicker than you think. Every time you use these products you're filling your home with dangerous and harmful chemicals. This year we are challenging you to Spring Clean your cleaning supplies. Throw away anything that contains toxic chemicals or synthetic fragrances and replace them with solutions filled with natural ingredients and healing oils.

Here are a few of our favorite Natural Cleaner Recipes

• All-Purpose Cleaner - Combine the following ingredients in a spray bottle

  • 5–10 drops lemon essential oil

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup white vinegar

  • Note: You can switch up the essential oils or create a blend. The best essential oils for cleaning are lavender, lemon, wild orange, eucalyptus, doTERRA On Guard®, peppermint, and grapefruit.

• Glass Cleaner - Combine the following ingredients in a spray bottle

  • 16-ounce spray bottle

  • 1 ½ cups white vinegar

  • ½ cup distilled water

  • 8 drops citrus essential oil of choice (lemon, lime, grapefruit, wild orange)

• Toilet Cleaner  - Combine the following ingredients in a glass container

  • ½ cup baking soda

  • 1 cup white vinegar

  • ½ teaspoon doTERRA Purify® cleansing essential oil blend

• Wood Cleaner - Combine the following ingredients in a glass container

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • ¼ cup white vinegar

  • 10 drops doTERRA essential oils (wild orange, arborvitae, or lemon)

• Soft Scrub for Bath & Kitchen, Tile, Sink, Floor, & Toilet - Combine the following ingredients in a glass container

  • ¾ rounded cup baking soda

  • ¼ cup unscented liquid castile soap

  • 1 tablespoon water

  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar

  • 5–10 drops lemon essential oil

• Carpet Cleaner - Combine the following ingredients in a glass container

  • 2 cups baking soda

  • 10 drops doTERRA Purify® cleansing essential oil blend

  • Instructions: Sprinkle mixture over carpet. Let rest one to two hours. Vacuum.

• Stove Top Cleaner - Combine the following ingredients in a glass container

  • ¼ cup baking soda

  • ¼ cup table salt

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons water

  • 4–5 drops of doTERRA Purify® cleansing essential oil blend

  • Instructions: Spread paste over the stove top and burners. Leave it on for 15 minutes or longer for hard-to-remove stains. Using a sponge, scrub the mixture into the grime. Remove excess cleaner and wipe surface clean.

• Wood Floor Cleaner - Combine the following ingredients in a glass container

  • 1 gallon warm water

  • 2 tablespoons liquid castile soap

  • 8 drops Siberian fir essential oil

  • 5 drops cypress essential oil

  • 10 drops lemon essential oil
